Configure Norton Firewall with Norton Tech Support

The firewall should be set to "Allow" or "Permit All" So that applications such as CTI navigator and CTI Upgrade Administrator will be permitted to deliver and get MLS information over the Internet. Normally a Norton security item instantly find the first time a new system tries to connect to the Internet and then encourages you to allow or prevent accessibility. Always "allow" CTI Navigator features. Otherwise, you may need to personally set up the system guidelines in your Norton item. Norton Anti-virus was operating on windows and Mac OS X. Microsoft company windows seven assistance was in growth for editions 2006 through 2008.

To configure the firewall in Norton Internet Security 2009 or 2010 to allow CTI Navigator functions to access the Internet:

  • 1.       Open Norton Internet Security (your screen may differ somewhat from that below).

  • 2.       In the "Internet" section of 2009 or "Web" section of 2010, click Settings
  • 3.       Scroll down to the Smart Firewall segment and beside Program Control click Configure(+):
  • 4.       On the Program Control Screen

If CTI Gps is shown in the System record (such as Search engines Updater is in the above list), make sure its Accessibility is set to "Allow" (not Automatic, Customized or Block), and also that CTI Upgrade Administrator is set to Allow. Then miss out the step 5 below.

If CTI Navigator is not in the Program list, click the Add button and

  • ·         Enter CTI Navigator.exe in the File Name field
  • ·         Browse to and click on the CTI Navigator folder
  • ·         Click Open until the Program Control dialog box is displayed
  • ·         Select Allow
